Door County Postcards

As I continue to document my travels, there are times when I want to capture the mood of a place, rather than the facts and figures.  As our uncle drove us up the narrow peninsula between Green Bay, Wisconsin and Lake Michigan, I put my notebook away and concentrated on the scenery.   Most of the peninsula is known as Door County and it is often referred to as "The Cape Cod of the Midwest."  Its 298 miles of shoreline are breathtakingly beautiful.  Quiet.  Soft.  Magical.
